Q: Where do you get your Herbal remedies formulas?

A: Our distributors have extensively studied herbs and natural remedies for over 10 years (but have no formal certifications), and formulate our products based on that knowledge. It’s not unusual for our formulas to go through 3 – 4 (or more!) versions before we are ready to release them. 

 

Q: How are your products tested? Do you send them to a lab?

Our distributors have a team of people we test on! This includes ourselves, our families, and volunteer affiliates at times. They start with such safe ingredients that they feel completely comfortable jumping straight to human testing. At this time, we do not perform any lab tests on our products, although we hope to have a few of them tested in the future to verify levels of active ingredients.

 

Q: Do you make your own products?

A: We have US distributors that meke the products. it’s something that they handmade in our dedicated manufacturing facility, based in United States. They don’t outsource our work at all 

Q: What is the shelf life of your products?

Because our products are 100% natural with no artificial preservatives, they do expire. Products that are applied topically have a shelf life of about 1 year. All of our glycerin tinctures have a shelf-life of 12 months (from the start of the creation process) and our alcohol tinctures: 2 years. So this means that the expiration date you will receive will be somewhere under 11 months for glycerin tinctures and somewhere under 23 months for alcohol tinctures. You can extend the shelf life by keeping your products in the refrigerator, although it is not required. Products are safe to use past the expiration date, if you are comfortable. The expiration dates are very loose estimates (simply how long we’ll guarantee a product for) and products usually last much longer. If a product had gone bad, it would be very obvious: rancid smell and/or visible mold.

 

Q: Are your products cruelty-free or vegan?

A: Our products are cruelty-free! We are Leaping Bunny certified. We do not test on animals ever. (Actually, we test on ourselves!) Yes, our products are vegan, with the exceptions of Oatmeal and Honey Soap, Cod Liver Oil,  and Vitamin D Cream. We no longer use beeswax in any of our formulations.

 

Q: Are your Herbal Remedies products certified organic?

A: Not at this time. It’s more important to us to stay affordable than to pursue an expensive certification. But please rest assured, we use as many organic ingredients as we can in our products. Approximately 80% of our ingredients are organic. Our herbs are 99% organic, our butters and oils are about 70% organic, and our “other” ingredients (like magnesium, clay, salt, etc.) don’t come in organic at all. You’re getting all the quality…without the cost. 🙂

 

Q: Do you use corn, soy, gluten, parabens, fragrances, etc. in your products?

A: No, we absolutely do not. We stay away from all major allergens (corn, soy, gluten, nuts) as well as anything that is not completely natural. That means no parabens, no sulfates, no fragrances, no SLS, no preservatives. We use only natural plant oils, butters, and herbs to create our products.

 

Q: Why are there slight variations in my products, or slight imperfections?

A: It’s the blessing of the handmade — it’s never exactly the same! We promise that any slight variations or imperfections are cosmetic only and do not affect the function of the product. For example, hard butters containing palmitic or stearic acid in large amounts (shea, mango, kokum) can sometimes bead up in products. This just means we don’t use any synthetics to prevent it from happening! We think of it as, you know it was made by a person and not a machine. 🙂

 

Q: When can I expect my product to ship?

A: It’s our goal to ship orders out same day or next business day (M – F). Typically, your order will arrive 1 – 3 days after. If you’ve purchased during a sale, especially a large one like Black Friday, please expect delays from both Earthley and potentially the shipping carriers as well.

Q: What if I order and need to cancel it?

Q: What if I want to add to my order?

A: Go ahead and submit a second order. Contact us at customerservice@healthco.online or via our live chat to let us know and we will refund any unnecessary shipping charges.  

 Q: What if I want to return an item?

A: If a item arrives damaged, is missing any parts, or is the wrong item or quantity, please contact us immediately and we will fix it. If you simply don’t want the item, then items that are in original packaging can be returned. Opened items may not be returned, sorry.
